Becoming a parent to a child with Down Syndrome can be overwhelming, lonely and stressful. The New Parent Mentor Program matches new parents with other parents of children with Down Syndrome.

Many of us have found strength and comfort connecting with other parents who are raising children with DS. We hope that if you’re not ready to talk to a DSAT peer supporter, that you’ll take a moment to review the New and Expectant Parent Package, “21 Welcomes” which was created by CDSS.
Although this journey is unique, you are not alone. You have now become part of a supportive, caring and welcoming community.

NEW Down Syndrome Consultation Clinic @ Surrey Place
A multi-disciplinary clinic for children with DS, with the goal of providing support to the child’s primary care provider and ensuring the family is connected to the appropriate medical providers and resources in the community. A physician referral is needed, and patients must reside in an area with a postal code starting with “M”. Please see flyer for more details.
