Toronto Challenger Baseball welcomes players of all abilities to experience the game in a supportive, inclusive environment. Designed for individuals with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, the program focuses on making baseball accessible so every player can participate, develop skills, and enjoy being part of a team—at a level that works for them.
Each athlete is paired with a trained buddy or volunteer who provides encouragement and assistance on and off the field, helping create a safe, positive, and fun baseball experience.
Open to players ages 4 to 22, the program uses baseball as a foundation to build key life skills—teamwork, communication, determination, resilience, independence, confidence, and connection with others. Just as importantly, it creates meaningful experiences for players and their families, both on the field and in the community.
Our philosophy is simple: step up to the plate, have fun, and play the game.
Participants are encouraged to come prepared with a water bottle, appropriate athletic footwear, comfortable clothing, and any assistive devices they may require to fully engage in all activities.
WHEN: Sundays from 10:00am – 12:00pm
May 31st to August 23rd (excluding the August 2nd long weekend)
COST: $35 per player for the season
