JT6 Studio is pleased to host introductory jiu-jitsu sessions in partnership with the Down Syndrome Association of Toronto. These classes are tailored for beginners with no prior experience and focus on foundational positions, techniques, and movements. They provide a supportive and structured environment for individuals who are new to martial arts to learn at a comfortable pace.
Participants with Down syndrome of all ages are welcome and will have the opportunity to build confidence, explore movement, and enjoy a positive experience on the mats.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable, athletic clothing along with appropriate footwear. Participants should also bring any assistive devices they require to fully and safely engage in the activities.
WHEN: Saturdays from 2:15pm – 3:15pm
June 6th to August 8th (excluding July 11th)
Classes will resume in the Fall starting September 12th, 2026
