Employment Empowerment Career Workshop

July 18 – 29 2022
Monday to Friday 10AM to 2:00PM

This Employment Empowerment Career Workshop is an amazing opportunity for those who want to begin their transition to work.  It is a virtual 2-week fun interactive summer course, helps students prepare for the workforce and/or if they are thinking of joining our Humber College Certificate Program.  

We are so excited to have confirmed for our summer workshop, industry guest speakers from Broadcasting, Local Businesses, Humber College, & Ontario Chamber of Commerce.

Workshop participants will learn career visioning, valuable communication skills, workplace ethics, interview skills, how to network (virtually/ and in person) and teamwork for employment success. 

Participants will also … 

  • Connect with Industry Guest Speakers to help participants learn public speaking tools to prepare for interviews.  Participants will become more confident in sharing their stories, handling their emotions at work, and practical skills to handle stress in the workplace. 
  • Meet Local Business Employers who will answer your questions for the hiring process as they share tips in what they are looking for when they are hiring new candidates  
  • Receive your own Career Box with all the tools you need for the workshop, including vision board materials and SNACKS!  
  • Opportunities for fun and interactive practice together.   Participants will discover their unique gifts through personalized assessment tools, make personal goal action plans and gain confidence to prepare for interviews.   At the end of the workshop you will be prepared to know how to be a leader in the workplace in
