Casting – Radio play

The RARE theatre company is looking to cast children from for an upcoming radio play. This will be written by renowned playwright Judith Thompson and the cast will be made up of children aged 8-11. We are looking for kids from all over Toronto and hope to cast as diverse a group as possible, we’d love to include one or two actors with Down syndrome.

To get to the final recording we would host weekly workshops with the kids on Zoom. We would start on Saturday, Oct 17 (the week after Thanksgiving) and run the workshops on Saturdays from 1-3pm through December 12th. As needed we’d also book Thursday evening sessions from 4-5:30pm. The final recording would likely be a longer day on Saturday, December 12th.

The good news is, we’ll be able to pay an honorarium of $2000 for everyone who takes part.
