SUMMARY:Sportclusive Volunteer
DESCRIPTION:DSAT is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Sportclusive volunteer team and support our weekly multi-sport program. \nDetails: \n\nSundays from 3-5pm. There are 2 classes for 2 different age groups. If you are not available for all 2 classes you may volunteer for just 1.\n\n3-4 pm is ages 8-17 (arrive at 2:45pm to help with set up)\n4-5 pm is ages 18+\n\n\nBob Rumball Centre: 2395 Bayview Ave\nFall program starts Sunday\, September 13th\, 2026\nWinter/Spring program starts mid January until mid May.\n\nDuties: \n\nSupporting children and youth with Down syndrome during sports activities led by a coach. Focus is on having fun\, socialization\, belonging\, and learning sports.\nSports include: soccer\, basketball\, floor hockey\, volleyball\, baseball\, badminton (no sports experience required to volunteer)\nOnline training provided before program starts.\n\nFor more information\, please e-mail info@dsat.ca.

Guided by trained coaches and volunteers\, we will take a customized approach for each athlete\, based on the Quality Participation Framework. We will focus on desired outcomes\, from simply socializing and making friends to active participation for life. \nSportclusive for ages 8-17 is a 1 hr class\, 12-week in-person program. \nSportclusive T-shirt is included for new registrants\, please indicate your size.
